PAMBA member Benedicta Oben poses in front of a display at The Aquarium, University of Liege , Belgium. The Aquarium houses 2,500 aquatic creatures from all over the world. Benedicta visited the aquarium and associated zoology museum in November 2005, as one of five (and only female) participants in the Fish Base Consortium Training on Taxonomy and Biodiversity of African fishes. (The participants were selected through a competitive process involving 70 African scientists from all over the continent. They were the first group to receive this training).
